Recycling is better,
when we're in it together.
When you recycle your used capsules, you can feel good knowing you're giving each capsule a second life. Follow these easy steps to help us create a continuous lifecycle that has no end.
Advantages of Recycling
Mimicking nature
When each capsule can be 100% recycled, the end is just the beginning.
Action tastes better
When you become an active recycler, you can feel good knowing each capsule will be given a second life.
Each capsule gets a second life
When plastic can become second-life objects, aluminum can be melted and reused, and coffee grounds can become fertilizer, your coffee moments turn into an opportunity for good.
Free and easy recycling
with TerraCycle®
We’ve partnered with TerraCycle® to make recycling your NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® capsules as effortless as making an espresso.
How do I recycle my capsules?
How do I recycle my capsules?
Take your used capsules and remove all excess liquid before putting them into any box you have at home. Once the box is full, add a prepaid shipping label and send it to TerraCycle® for recycling.
What happens to the capsules?
What happens to the capsules?
The first step is for TerraCycle® to clean and separate the materials. After that, the fibres and plastics are recycled into their raw formats so that they can be transformed into new products.

Our recycling initiatives
To live sustainably is to live in harmony with nature. Take a look at the ways our actions are making an impact.
Give your capsules
a second life
When you recycle, the plastic will be used to make second-life objects and the coffee grounds will become compost for fertilizers.
We stand with
nature
This means we will not draw water from nature or send any waste to the landfills and proudly neutralize 100% of the greenhouse gases from the operations side.
Recycling more
than capsules
If your machine has reached the end of its useful life, you can check how to properly dispose of it here. ABREE is an association of which Dolce Gusto is a member and is responsible for the reverse logistics and collection of household appliances and electronics for recycling.
